Connecting a government account

Connect the account relevant to your task, then check which company and actions it gives you access to. Your Motaded sign-in and your authority account serve different purposes.

5 min read

A government-account connection lets a supported Motaded workflow use access established with the relevant service. The connection does not create a government account, transfer ownership or grant new authority to act. The account you use must already have the permissions required for the intended procedure.

Who does what

  • Motaded Account

Identifies you in Motaded and provides access to your workspace and products.

  • Motaded Platform

Provides the supported connection workflow and uses its available access for the relevant task.

  • Government service

Verifies the external account and determines its permissions and session requirements.

  • Authorised account holder

Completes the required verification and confirms the correct business context.

In what order

  1. Identify the service you need

Start with the procedure you intend to carry out. Connecting one authority does not connect every service involved in your company’s work.

  2. Check your authority to use the account

Confirm that the account has access to the relevant company or establishment and that you are authorised to perform the intended action.

  3. Start the supported connection workflow

Follow the connection process provided for that service. Authentication methods and required checks can differ between authorities.

  4. Complete the requested verification

Follow the instructions for the current attempt. If verification fails or expires, check the displayed next action before starting another attempt.

  5. Confirm the account and business context

Review the available account, company or establishment information. An account may cover more than one entity.

  6. Continue with the intended task

Open the relevant record or supported procedure. A connected account does not mean a draft has been submitted or a request completed.

Motaded vs authority

Signed in to Motaded

  • Establishes your Motaded identity
  • Gives access according to workspace membership and product permissions
  • Does not authenticate you to every authority
  • Does not prove permission to act for a company externally

Connected to an authority

  • Establishes access for a specific external service
  • Depends on that account’s permissions
  • May require further verification later
  • Does not establish the outcome of a business procedure

Key points to confirm

  • Service

Confirm which authority or portal the connection belongs to.

    Selected connection

  • Account

    Use the intended authorised identity.

    Authority account holder

  • Company or establishment

Check the entity before using its information or starting an action.

    External account / company record

  • Permissions

Access to an account does not necessarily permit every operation.

    Relevant service

  • Connection state

Review whether access is available or verification is required.

    Current connection attempt

  • Business outcome

Check requests and issued results separately from connection status.

    Relevant official procedure

Mistakes to avoid

  • Assuming Motaded sign-in also signs you in to every authority.
  • Connecting an account without checking which companies it covers.
  • Treating connection success as submission success.
  • Assuming access to one service grants access to another.
  • Assuming every workspace member can use the same external permissions.

FAQ

Yes, where a supported workflow requires that authority’s account. Connecting one service does not automatically establish access to another.
