Reviewing an application before you submit

Review the information that will be used in this request, not just the company profile it came from. Confirm the entity, documents and intended action before proceeding.

5 min read

A prepared application may combine company information, details entered for the procedure and supporting documents. Even when information has been reused from an existing record, review the actual application before authorising an official action. Preparation and submission remain separate stages.

Who does what

  • Preparer

Collects information and documents for the application.

  • Authorised reviewer

Checks the content and confirms the intended action.

  • Motaded

Organises the supported preparation workflow and available application information.

  • Relevant authority

Defines the procedure and determines the official result.

In what order

  1. Confirm the company and procedure

Check the legal entity and the action you intend to take. Make sure you are not starting a duplicate of an existing official request.

  2. Check the account and authority to act

Confirm that the external account belongs to the intended context and has the permissions required for this action.

  3. Review the prepared values

Read the details in the application itself. Pay attention to names, identifiers, ownership figures, activities and other information relevant to the procedure.

  4. Check every attachment

Open the files and confirm that they concern the right company or person, contain all necessary pages and represent the intended versions.

  5. Resolve gaps and differences

Investigate missing information or conflicts before proceeding. Do not use guessed values to complete required fields.

  6. Understand the action you are authorising

Distinguish saving a draft, sending an application, signing, paying or cancelling. Review any terms, declarations and fees presented for that action.

  7. Check the result after proceeding

Review the available acknowledgement or status. If receipt is unclear, verify the existing attempt before submitting again.

Prepared vs authorised action

Prepared application

  • Contains information assembled for review
  • May include reused company details
  • Can still contain errors or outdated attachments
  • Does not prove official receipt

Authorised official action

  • Has a specific purpose and account context
  • Uses the information supplied for that action
  • May create a request or another official event
  • Requires its own result check

Mistakes to avoid

  • Reviewing only the company profile instead of the prepared application.
  • Assuming reused information is always correct for the current procedure.
  • Checking filenames without opening the attachments.
  • Assuming a profile edit updated an existing application draft.
  • Treating internal review as official submission.
  • Clicking again because the first result has not appeared.

FAQ

Yes. Check that it concerns the right entity and is suitable for the current procedure. Retrieved information still needs context.
