Understanding your company dashboard

Use the dashboard to orient yourself: which company you are working on, what needs attention and where to continue. Open the underlying record before making a decision or taking action.

5 min read

Your company dashboard brings the available information about the company into a working overview. What you see depends on the company’s stage, the records available and the supported connections. Treat the overview as a starting point for your work, then check the relevant request, document or company record for detail.

Who does what

  • Company profile

Provides the company information used within the workspace, including details entered or selected by your team.

  • Setup route

Organises supported formation steps around the company information provided.

  • Request record

Holds the details and available status of a particular procedure.

  • Document record

Holds the relevant file and available document information.

  • Government connection

Provides access to supported information or actions, subject to permissions and session availability.

  • Relevant authority

Maintains the official record and determines the outcome of its procedures.

In what order

  1. Confirm the company

Check the company identity before reviewing work. Pay particular attention when your account gives you access to more than one company or workspace.

  2. Check the company’s stage

For a company being established, start with the setup route and its current step. For an existing company, focus on the relevant records, requests and ongoing administrative work.

  3. Identify what needs your attention

Look for an unfinished preparation step, a request requiring action or a document that needs review. Read the reason behind the item rather than relying on its colour or count.

  4. Open the underlying record

Review the full request, document or company information. Confirm the source, available update time and any conditions attached to the next action.

  5. Identify who acts next

Determine whether the work belongs to your team, another authorised person or the authority. A request waiting on the authority is different from a draft waiting for your review.

  6. Complete the appropriate action

Continue preparation in Motaded or follow the indicated external step. Check the resulting status before considering the work complete.

  7. Recheck information that may have changed

Use the available status-check or connection workflow when information may be out of date. If the outcome of a previous action is unclear, verify it before starting another submission.

Overview vs record

The dashboard overview

  • Summarises available information
  • Helps you identify work to review
  • Provides a route to the underlying record
  • May reflect the last retrieved or recorded information

The underlying record

  • Provides the context for one request, document or company detail
  • Shows the available reference, source and status
  • Explains the next action where supported
  • Should be checked before acting on a summary

Read the stage before choosing the action

  • Workspace draft

Information is being prepared. It does not establish that an official request exists.

    Your team / Motaded

  • Prepared information

The information is ready for review or the next supported step. Preparation alone does not confirm submission.

    Your authorised reviewer

  • Official request

A request exists in the authority’s process. Check its reference, status and any required action.

    Relevant authority

  • Issued result

An official document or outcome has been produced. Review its details, scope and any remaining steps.

    Issuing authority

  • Unclear outcome

Receipt or completion has not been confirmed. Check the existing attempt before repeating an action.

    Status check / relevant authority

  • Connection needs attention

Access may need verification before information can be checked or an action continued. This does not determine the outcome of the business procedure.

    Authorised account holder

Mistakes to avoid

  • Reading “prepared” as “submitted” or “approved”.
  • Treating a status summary as more current than the underlying official record.
  • Assuming a disconnected account means the company’s registration or licence is invalid.
  • Repeating a submission because the dashboard has not yet shown a result.
  • Treating every document date as the same kind of deadline.
  • Assuming an overview with no visible alerts proves that all company obligations are complete.

FAQ

The relevant work depends on the company’s stage, available information, connections and your access. A company being formed has different priorities from an existing business.
